My tennis bag

Hi my name is Joshua.

This is my tennis bag. Now if you are wondering why there are two tennis bags it's because there's a mirror.

I play tennis and I am trying to become a tennis pro. I train around 10 hours a week. I train every day except Sunday unless there is a tournament. On Mondays and Wednesdays I'm in a little group and there's one coach. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I train with my dad. On Fridays I do a private lesson with the same coach who coaches the group. On Saturdays sometimes I play with my dad or I play a tournament.

I usually train indoors in the winter and in the summer I train half the time indoors and half the time outdoors.

It's harder to train outside because there are lots of things that happen on the court that affect the way the ball moves and the way you see it. There's wind, the sun can be really bright, and it could rain a bit. The tennis pros play outside all the time so they have to deal with it all the time. They even play when it's raining a bit unless it is raining crazy.

The older you get the more hours you train. For example the pros train around 40 hours a week. Isn't that crazy!!! They basically play every day except when they are injured.

I think I'll stop writing now. So please comment under this blog. I will like you!

  1. Hi Joshua,

I love your Volkl bag. So many people have Head, Wilson, and Babolat. Volkl is unique, and they have a special dampening system in their handle to protect your arm. You worked hard for your sponsorship with them.

I hope that Noah comes out with us from time to time this coming summer. We will have lots of fun on red clay.

    Love,

    Appa

  2. Hi Joshua,

I really enjoyed reading about your training schedule for tennis! I have a great deal of respect for athletes who have the discipline to train hard and push themselves to their limits. I already knew what an incredible athlete you are because I've seen you play, but now I also know what an amazing writer you are! I look forward to reading more of your posts--keep it up!!

    Love,
    Komo Sarah

(By the way, this might be my third reply to your post because I was having trouble publishing my comment before.)

I didn't buy you this bag. It was included with your sponsorship from Volkl! :)
